"No language can express the power, and beauty, and heroism, and majesty of a mother's love. It shrinks not where man cowers, and grows stronger where man faints, and over wastes of worldly fortunes sends the radiance of its quenchless fidelity like a star."
These are probably the best lines to describe a mother and the way she goes about everything selflessly in protecting and caring for her children.
When I hear the word 'Mother', it feels so soothing to the soul as it makes me realize that whatever my condition, someone is always there for me.
In the toughest times of life, it's a mother who encourages you to kick-out the problems! Right from the birth, it's a mother who bears most of the pains in the upbringing of the children. Interestingly, the very first word that a child speaks is either "Maa", "Mama" or "Mom" which mean mother.
She is the one who awakes whole nights to look after her ailing child. She is the one who cares for the needs of her teen. And, unfortunately she is the one who gets very little attention when she finds herself as a sexagenarian.
On this Mother's Day, I pledge to care for my mom more than anything else. I will, with the grace of Almighty Allah, try my best to keep her happy and would like to return a little bit for that great labour and patience she invested in my smooth and sound upbringing :)
